We’ve had the system installed for about seven weeks and we absolutely love it. Easy to install and we placed it on the shower floor - not in the way at all. I've been around family, friends and businesses with whole home/facility water soften systems and I know how they work. No question, this is a true miniature water softener unit. Filters don't soften water, that's just not how the chemistry works, so those shower heads that claim to soften water are simply a rip-off. This system positively softens the water and plus has a huge filter to clean out the chlorine and other chemicals. We’re on a county water system in Florida which has notoriously hard water and a lot of chlorine. My wife has auto-immune issues and very fine hair. Those things combine to cause her to have dry, itchy skin problems after showers and for a lot of broken hair to end up around the trap around the drain. For years after showers, she had to lather up with a wet skin moisturizer that helped some. Even then, her arms and legs would sometimes itch so bad that she would take Benadryl to ease it. For her hair, she had to use a detangler in order to get a comb to go through it, and even then it would knot and break. After about two weeks of using this system, we noticed her skin and hair were both improving considerably.
